Ms. Turi's 3rd grade class is reading the book, Charlotte's Web! Charlotte's Web is about a young girl who saves a pig, and raises it like a child. The pig's name is Wilbur. The first day that Wilbur enters the barn, he finds some friends. Wilbur did not have a single friend. That night Wilbur hears a quiet voice. A small spider named Charlotte. Wilbur and Charlotte become friends and go on many adventures together. Peyton gives this book two thumbs up!

Ms. Barabad

By Tyler S. and Isabel B.

After Mrs. Anderson left to have her baby girl, Samantha, Ms. Barabad took her place. FYI asked Miranda M. and Emma V. what they like best about her.

Miranda said, "I think Ms. Barabad is really fun because she plays a lot of games with us. My favorite subject that she does with us is writing, because she lets us write about whatever we want. I think that Ms. Barabad is a good substitute for Mrs. Anderson because she is a lot like her. I think Ms. Barabad's personality is one of a kind because she's polite, she takes care of things, she's nice, and she respects all of our ideas. That's what I like about Ms. Barabad"

Emma said, "Ms. Barabad plays fun activities to make the subjects fun. My favorite subject that Ms. Barabad teaches us is Social Studies. She goes with the flow of what we're learning in all subjects. Ms. Barabad cares for us, and tries to encourage us every chance she has."

We all love Ms. Barabad, and we hope she stays with us a very long time!

The Skate Board!

by Edwardo C.

There was once a cool $19 skateboard. Noah really wanted it and he had $20 to buy it.
Noah liked that it could turn into Sonie Drive. Which made it a lot cooler than it already was. But it could also fly. Noah liked to ride it around town. His friends are, Maciej, Peter, Daniel, Davin, and Danny. They all wanted the skateboard, but they didn't have enough money. So hey combined their money to get one skateboard to share. Then there was a championship skateboard competition at the Extreme Skate Park. Noah and his friends made a new friend. Jalen had a skateboard too, so they all teamed up to compete in the championship.

The score was 20 to 19. Jalen was the last one to do the cycle. When he finished, the judges gave him four points. That was enough to win the competition! Everyone got a medal! YAY!

A Spring Scene

by Maddie L.

I'm a little flower
swaying in the breeze,
here comes a bee
with pollen for me!
now I'm very happy
because I can grow,
grow, grow, grow,
that's all I know!
that's all flowers do?
whew!

Barack Obama

By Peyton O.

Barack Obama is my role model. I think he is a great man and has a fascinating past. He is our country’s first African-American president. Obama is a very brave person. When he decided to run for president, he didn’t know if people were going to vote for him. Barack Obama is a great person.
